Barb and Her Family visit Kivu Hills Academy
Barbara Culver and her family arrived at Kivu Hills academy on Sunday March 13 for a 2 days visit. Barbara's family is diversely gifted and they all came ready to serve with KHA in various areas. The students' leaders were privileged to receive a leadership training from Sarah and Andrew Bosko who have been serving with Disney in leadership positions. These students appreciated the knowledge they gained and are willing to use it as they serve their colleague at KHA and even beyond school life. While Sarah and Andrew were training the leaders (Prefects) , Mr. Brad Culver, a pilot by profession was giving an inspiring lecture to our senior Computer networking class. On the other hand, Dr. Karen Culver (KC) conducted a face to face ToT with KHA trainers after a series of others that she facilitated remotely using google classroom. Trainers were excited to meet her in person and discuss Teaching techniques, inclusive education among other topics. Thanks to Steve Culver and Dave who were also on Barb's team, KHA students used the design and guidance from these two friends and built a wooden cart which will be using to move materials and tools in the Construction workshop. The entire KHA team was excited to serve with these very motivated friends from the US.
