Masonry department being the first at KHA has built a very powerful reputation from 2016. The first class of school pioneers took the masonry trade. The 21 pioneers 3 of whom were women all passed the 2018 National examination with very good grades and graduated with amazing hands-on skills. The department has enough modern equipment and well-seasoned trainers which allow trainees to get quality education strengthened with labor market-oriented soft skills in communication, information technology among others. Today most of the 61 graduates who completed Level five in Masonry class are either working or pursuing their studies at university. The department continues to strive for excellence in providing life-transforming education to its students and graduates.
Networking and Internet Technology
Networking and internet technology (Also called ICT department) In 2017, the school had acquired enough infrastructures to accommodate a second trade. Therefore, the management decided to start a computer systems Technology and networking trade. This trade started with 18 trainees 50% of whom were female. Currently, the trade counts 50 trainees in Level 3, 34 in Level and 29 in Level 5. The department has also experienced significant growth in terms of equipment. It has enough computers, tables, projectors, routers including CISCO router, switches including CISCO Switch and other necessary equipment to facilitate the learning process. On the other hand, Our ICT department has the best and very dynamic trainers who seek to produce competent graduates. So far, 36 students have graduates with both outstanding grades and competences. Graduates from KHA ICT trades either pursue further educational at universities, start their own businesses or get employed in different companies.
Tourism
In 2018, KIVU HILLS ACADEMY started offering education in TOURISM with the first class that started with 21 trainees. The department of tourism was established to train young men and women who will take part in the government initiatives of promoting tourism industry especially in areas surrounding LAKE KIVU in the west province and the Volcanoes in the Northern Province without forgetting the rest of the country. Our TOURISM department offers opportunities for learners to experience outdoor learning with emphasis to the major tourism destinations across the country. We believe that a Tour guide or a tour operator should have a deep understand of tourism, History, culture and recreational needs of tourists. Therefore, we equip our students with all necessary skills that allow them to offer the most desirable services to tourists when they graduate. The first tourism cohort graduates in 2021 with extraordinary performance in the NATIONAL EXAMINATION. We continue to use all resources and opportunities we have to ensure that our tourism trade remains among the best in the country.

Kivu Hills Academy facilitates the integration of graduates into the labor market through cooperation with various companies and actors in the areas covered by the training.
